1. Can you really go in the water with Skypilots?
Yes. Skypilots were designed to transition seamlessly from land to water. Their construction allows water to circulate and drain quickly thanks to perforations and drainage channels integrated into the sole. They are suitable for beaches, rivers, waterfalls, paddleboarding, kayaking and other activities where you regularly alternate between dry land and water.
2. How does water drain from the shoe?
The multidirectional drainage system allows water to flow through the perforated insole and then be directed to multiple drainage points under and around the shoe. The goal is simple: avoid walking for long periods with a heavy, waterlogged shoe.
3. How long do they take to dry?
The breathable mesh and drainage system allow for quick water evacuation and optimal drying. The exact drying time naturally depends on temperature, sunlight, humidity, and ventilation. During our tests in summer conditions, the interior was completely dry in approximately 3 hours in the sun.

4. Do they get heavy when wet
The drainage system is specifically designed to limit this problem. During our tests, most of the water drained very quickly and the shoe returned to near-normal weight within tens of seconds after exiting the water.
5. Can they be worn barefoot?
Yes. They were designed to be worn directly barefoot, especially during activities that alternate between water and land. The interior, breathable design, and fit are designed to provide good comfort without necessarily requiring socks.
6. Do they limit bad odors?
Mesh ventilation, water drainage, and air circulation help limit stagnant moisture, which generally promotes unpleasant odors. However, after use in water, we recommend rinsing them and allowing them to air dry completely.
7. How do I maintain my Skypilots?
After use in the sea, a river, or a sandy environment, rinse them with clear water to remove salt, sand, and residue.
For a more thorough cleaning, use lukewarm water, a mild soap, and, if necessary, a soft brush. Then let them air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.

8. What activities are they designed for?
Skypilots are particularly well-suited for travel, beaches, rivers, waterfalls, paddleboarding, kayaking, coastal walks, easy trails, and days where you're regularly transitioning from land to water. Their main benefit is their versatility: avoiding the need to constantly change shoes depending on the activity.
9. Can they be used for hiking on trails?
Yes. Their sole offers more protection, cushioning, and grip than a classic minimalist water shoe. They are suitable for easy trails, coastal paths, access to beaches, rivers or waterfalls, and short hikes.
However, they are not designed to replace a technical hiking shoe for long hikes in the mountains or on very demanding terrain.
10. Are they suitable for wet rocks?
The GripTrek™ sole is designed to provide good grip on various terrains, including rocks, wet ground, sand, and trails. As with any shoe, some extremely smooth, algae-covered, or particularly slippery surfaces still require caution.
11. Can they be used as everyday sneakers?
Yes. That's precisely what differentiates the Skypilot concept from a simple water shoe. Their sneaker silhouette allows them to be worn in the city, while traveling, or on a daily basis, and then to continue with the same pair when your day takes you to a beach, a river, or a water activity.
12. Can I run with it?
They are suitable for occasional running or dynamic activities, but they are not designed as dedicated long-distance running shoes. For regular training or a marathon, we recommend a shoe specifically designed for running.
Skypilot Concept
13. Why are they called "hybrid sneakers"?
Because Skypilot combines several uses in one pair: the style and comfort of a sneaker, the necessary grip for trails and varied terrain, and a design that allows you to go directly into the water and then continue your adventure.
14. Why replace multiple pairs with a single one?
When traveling, we often end up bringing sneakers for walking, water shoes for the water, and sometimes extra sandals. Skypilot was designed to cover several of these situations with a single versatile pair, to travel simpler and lighter.
Size & Fit
15. How do I choose my size?
We recommend above all to consult our size guide and to measure the length of your foot in centimeters rather than relying solely on your usual shoe size.
Place your heel against a wall, measure to the tip of your longest toe, and compare this measurement with our chart.
If you don't have anything to measure your foot, take a pair of shoes that fit you perfectly and look at their inner label: the length in CM indicated is often a better guide than just the European shoe size.
16. What should I do if I am between two sizes?
If your measurement is actually between two sizes on the guide, generally opt for the larger size to ensure enough space and comfort.
17. What if the shoe size doesn't fit me?
We recommend consulting our size guide before ordering. If the shoe size does not fit you, you have 30 days after receipt to request a free exchange or return, provided the shoes are clean, unworn outdoors, and show no signs of wear. Simply contact our team: we will provide you with the return address and guide you through the process.
Orders, delivery & returns
18. What are the delivery times?
Depending on demand, preparing your order usually takes between 24 and 48 hours. Once shipped, delivery usually takes 6 to 9 business days.
19. How do I track my order?
As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive your tracking number by email. You can then track your package until its delivery.
20. Can I return or exchange my order?
Yes. You have 30 days after receipt to request a return or exchange in accordance with our return policy.
For shoes, it is important to only try them on indoors until you are sure you want to keep them. Returned items must meet the conditions outlined in our return policy.
